Game developers are already eyeing the iPhone platform as the next handheld gaming phenomenon; it now has a number of puzzle, action, arcade, and racing games. Human Head Studio's first person shooter game Prey is available on the PC and XBOX 360 and will soon be available on iPhone. MachineWorks Northwest who has worked on Prey Mobile 3D phone ports will work on Prey's iPhone port; this Prey version will be published by Hands-On Mobile.

Work on Prey 2 started earlier this year, but 3D Realms CEO Scott Miller, now openly talks about it on his dukenukem blog, as well as announcing Prey sold over 1 million games on PC and Xbox 360.

Last month IGN reported on the existence of a Prey patch and update that would add new content. Today we received an update on the status of the new content along with some good news. The patch is still in the works, though there isn't any timeline for when it will be released aside from, "when they're done." The good news that was passed on to us is that the new Prey content will be free for both the PC and Xbox 360 versions.
The first patch for the PC version of Prey has been released by 3D Realms and Human Head.

TTWO, and 3D Realms today announced the first-person shooter Prey has gone to gold master and will be available in North America on July 11th and in Europe on July 14th. Developed by Human Head Studios under the direct supervision of 3D Realms, Prey will be available for Xbox 360(TM) video game and entertainment system from Microsoft and PC in both a regular edition and a Limited Collector's Edition. The demo for the PC version of Prey is currently available for download, with an Xbox 360 demo available soon.
Did you know Prey has been in development since 1995! It was originally suposed to come out in 1998, then 1999, then..... nothing! It went Duke Nukem Forever on us! Anyway this is the video of prey that was shown at E3 1998. Enjoy!
