Knee-jerk reviews after ten minutes' play-time. As is only right and proper.
Last week Capcom revealed one of its strongest lineups in ages during the Captivate 08 event (we briefly talked about it on TalkRadar). The embargos have lifted and now we're able to say what we saw, what we played and what totally stole the show (it surprised the hell out of us, that's for sure). We'll be adding links throughout the day, so read on!
Resident Evil 6 is more than just a canonical sequel, it looks like another twist on the formula established with Resident Evil 4. This time, there's lots and lots of reaches back into the depths of the PlayStation era for something new...
Resident Evil 6 has three separate campaigns that each have their own feel. For example, the Chris Redfield stage is more of an action-shooter in the style of RE5. But as our most recent demo showed us, that doesn't mean his level won't also have scares...
Ada Wong is a woman of mystery, but we at least know this about her: she's a playable character in the unlockable fourth campaign of Resident Evil 6. Check out our video preview of her mode featuring exclusive footage...

Operation Raccoon City’s multiplayer typically only makes you worry
about the other team of players and shambling zombies, but Nemesis mode gives
you another big thing to worry about…
Take a moment to pity the well-spoken Austrian gentleman showing us Ride to Hell today. In the excitement of debuting his new videogame to the world’s press, he’s gone and hired out a deliciously scuzzy biker bar in Asscrack, California for the event and populated it with real (judging by their odor and keenness on punching game journalists in the arm) bikers.

Very few companies seem to be trying to drastically reinvent the MMO genre in any way. This is mostly because World of Warcraft seems to have damn near perfected it, collecting so many devotees along the way that now you can’t deviate too far from its template for fear of turning people off. It’s like writing a post-Green Day pop-punk song with a chorus that just isn’t catchy. Why bother?
That said, WoW has been around for a long time, and it shows. Rift: Planes of Telara’s combat doesn't do much to subvert WoW’s dominant paradigm, but the game sure does grab your eyeballs’ attention...
