Valve has unveiled this week's Steam Mid-Week Madness sale, taking 50% off PopCap's excellent tower defense title Plants vs. Zombies, which now runs only $5.
Popcap's casual Zombie tower defense game, Plants vs. Zombies has been nominated for Best PC Game of the Year at the 2009 SpikeTV Video Game Awards. This is the first time that a game from a "casual" studio has gone up against AAA titles from large publishers. Other nominees are Dragon Age: Origins, Left 4 Dead 2, and The Sims 3.

Last week, a stripped-back version of Plants vs Zombies arrived as a free-to-play title online. Today, the full game, lauded by critics worldwide and the proud recipient of a healthy 8 out of 10 at Resolution, is available to buy in all good shops across the UK.
Popcap's eternally cute Plants vs. Zombies has struck a chord with all types of gamers recently, and are now leaking over into "real life". Plants and Zombies will be making an appearance en masse in the "largest Halloween gathering in the US." this October
PopCap has today launched a free version of its excellent tower defence game Plants vs Zombies, playable on the developer's website.
The newest Plants vs. Zombies ad takes a jab at the ever ridiculous Evony ads, and does a damn fine job doing it.
