BlizzCon 2008 set for October

Warcraft devotees the world over will be need to book some time off work, dip into their savings and start working on their costumes - BlizzCon 2008 has just been confirmed.

Now in its third year, the gaming convention will take place in Anaheim, California between October 10 and 11.

Demand has caused Blizzard to expand the convention from two halls to three. Attendees can expect hands-on play time with upcoming releases (Lich King), discussion panels with developers, tournaments, merchandise and a silent auction.

Also taking place is the now traditional costume, machinima and character sound-alike contests. Expect compromising photos of Blood Elf cosplayers to litter the net come October.
