Overlord is an original next-generation title from Age of Wonders developer Triumph Studios. A 890mb demo is now available on Xbox Live, while a 1.2Gb PC demo is expected next week.
Codemasters has said that both Xbox 360 and PC versions of Overlord will be out in the US on 26th June - the expectation being that the European version will follow a few days later on 29th June, although Codemasters hasn't confirmed that just yet.
Issue 5 of PCGZine has a review of The Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows on Angmar, and is surprised to find that the final build has polished off the flaws from the beta. The issue also has a hands-on preview of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars and an exclusive interview with the developer of World in Conflict, the stunning RTS arriving later this year. As usual, the magazine is free to download and full of PC games previews and reviews.
Absolute power corrupts absolutely, or at least that's what Codemasters is looking to prove with the latest details of its action adventure Overlord. Set in a rich fantasy world brimming with black humour, players are free to rule the realm however they see fit. Those with an evil streak can set out to be the ultimate badass by reigning with a cruel fist, ordering their Minion army to cause wanton destruction and torture innocents for no reason whatsoever. Alternatively they can approach the game as a good guy, using the imps at their control to battle evil and save helpless townsfolk.
