Codemasters is taking the time to pat Operation Flashpoint on the back especially as until Dragon Rising, the series was almost exclusively on PC. Dragon Rising opened the eyes of console gamers to what shooters can be, boasted Codies. Operation Flashpoint: Red River retails April 21st.
When Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising released in 2009, it went away from some of the core ideals from the franchise. It was the first game in the franchise to release on the consoles, but despite this, it still performed well.
The new Operation Flashpoint game will be called OF: Red River, CVG has discovered.
Codemasters CEO Rod Cousens believes there's another way... I'm not necessarily a fan of DRM measures. I think sometimes they're almost counter-productive. I can still be persuaded on them, and I completely understand why they exist.

Codemasters has released a new update for Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising, now available for download. The patch brings the game to v1.02 adding a laundry list of new bug fixes, balancing tweaks and other overall improvements, but more notably it brings the 'Overwatch' add-on which adds a significant amount of content to solo, co-op and adversarial play.
