Alongside the long-awaited announcement of Diablo 3, Blizzard Entertainment has confirmed that its anticipated sci-fi PC RTS sequel StarCraft 2 will not hit this year.

The studio is only "about a third of the way" done with the game's campaign mode, executive VP Rob Pardo revealed during a talk at the Blizzard Worldwide Invitational.

According to Internode Games Network, the company hopes to have something impressive to show by the year's end. Pardo further noted that, when it hits, the game should simultaneously launch on PC and Mac.

An Australian man was arrested recently after he convinced a 15-year-old girl he met while playing World of WarCraft to run away from home to be with him. He even paid for the trip. How sweet.

The 31-year-old Anthony Taylor formed a relationship with the less-than-half-his-age girl, which eventually led to sexual messages and phone calls. The girl's father found out about the relationship and threatened to kill Anthony, so Anthony did what any self-respecting pedophile would do - he sent her a plane ticket and some money to cover the cab fare.

The first sign of the much-debated in game advertisements has now made it into City of Heroes. So far, there appears to be only one ad, a billboard-size poster advertising JETER CLUTCH sneakers. British players needn't worry about seeing this particular ad, as they won't be able to, whether they play on American servers or not. The ads are regionally targeted, so only those that are appropriate for a given audience will show up. We've not yet received any reports of what the UK players see instead, though some players have found a cached image of Statesman standing near a Union Flag.
