We thought you might be interested in seeing some of the "behind the scenes" work that goes on in Team Fortress 2. The process usually starts with a team discussion: This helps us determine the goals of the map we're going to build. In this case, we wanted a game mode that had an intense, centralized experience with quick player turnaround. We liked some of the facets of Arena mode, but it was clear that many players don't like to wait for the next round to play.

The final day, Day Three, of the Team Fortress 2 'Classless Update' has arrived, bringing with it a community CP map and a CTF version of Sawmill.
Brand new game mode King of the Hill revealed. New KOTH map "Viaduct" also introduces TF2 to its first snowfall theme.
PixelatedGeek.com says: "It looks like Valve's Team Fortress 2 team is out with another week of patch announcements. For day 1, they have announced new hats for each class to further customize their character."
Not content with releasing a software development kit for Team Fortress 2's maps and environments, Valve will soon be releasing the SDK for the game's character models and animations as well.
The Total Gaming Network reported today that the soldier class update had been apparently posted on the official TF2 blog in error; the post was quickly removed from the official page.
