S2 Games has released an update for their free-to-play FPS/RTS/Action RPG hybird Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, now available for download.
An update has been released for action RPG Savage 2: A Tortured Soul and is now available through Steam. The large patch brings 3 new maps, a new 'Team Manager' panel along with some additional fixes and improvements.
Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, S2 Games' multiplayer battlefield game, is now free (as in beer). Just download the game, create an account, and you're off. Why bother, though? Well, it's a pretty well-received game, especially by users. The main reason, though, is the main gameplay mechanic- one player on each team acts as a "general" of sorts on the battlefield, and plays the game like an RTS. The other 62 players act as the units, and play the game as an action RPG/ FPS (i.e. they do the fighting). Not bad for a free game, especially as Windows, Mac, and Linux users can all enjoy it.
Savage 2: A Tortured Soul, a FPS/RTS hybrid, is now available to play for free. It is the sequel to Savage: Battle For Newerth and Savage 2 is a fun game with impressive graphics and game play mechanics. The skinny on this free Savage 2 is that it's basically Natural Selection but with Humans vs Beastmen. The problem with Savage 2 was that there aren't many players at this point, and well, there wasn't that many to begin with when the game was released a year ago either.
