FireSky head Dan Elggren told VideoGamer.com in a Leipzig Games Convention interview that if Stargate Worlds ends up as a "stinker that's not ready" the company may close down.
FireSky studio head Dan Elggren has revealed post-release content plans for upcoming sci-fi MMO Stargate Worlds.
Stargate Worlds developer FireSky is planning an open beta for just before the game's launch, slated for early 2009.
Stargate SG-1 actor Christopher Judge visited Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment's game development studio to check out Stargate Worlds last week. Judge played the part of Teal'c -- the Jaffa warrior on the SG-1 team -- for the entire run of the TV series and in the movies The Ark of Truth and Continuum, and has appeared on Stargate Atlantis as well.

Firesky and G4 Networks have just announced that gamers will be able to see Stargate Worlds, the upcoming MMO based on the Stargate Universe, on July 2nd at 8pm PST. The video has interviews with the studio head and art director walking them through a raid on a drug lords stronghold.
MGM, Firesky and the US Military have announced that Comic-Con goers will be able to see in-game footage of Stargate Worlds and have their picture taken with a life-size replica of a Stargate. In addition to the life-size Stargate, they will also have the opportunity to meet the developers.
Stargate Worlds, an MMORPG use Epic's Unreal Engine 3, provides players with a form of ranged combat unique to MMORPG that will take full advantage of modern and science fiction weaponry, cover and terrain. FireSky has announced today that StarGate Worlds will be accepting closed beta applications. Players will be selected from the applications and be given the chance to have input into the game. Selected gamers will also be able to play alongside the developers.
