PC - Quake 4 - Quake 4 Gets amBX Enabled Philips announced today that they have signed an agreement with id software to provide an amBX mod for Quake 4. Now, those with the amBX peripherals can experience custom light, rumble and wind effects to help enhance the experience. An amBX enabled version of Quake 4 was shown off at QuakeCon, where it was received positively.

PC - Quake Zero - Quake Zero not actually in web-browser Quake Zero has been billed as a free, browser-based game of Quake 3 Arena supported by advertising revenue, but those of you worried that it'll be written in Java or something can rest easy - id's Steve Nix tells Eurogamer it just uses the browser to get going.

PC - Quake Zero - Quake Zero Announced During today's Quake Con keynote the id folks announced that they have a team of developers working on a little pet project called Quake Zero.

QZ will be a free web-based version of Quake 3 multiplayer. Todd Hollenshead told Kotaku they decided to kick off this project for several reasons. First and foremost, id hated to see their game, once quite popular for online matches, losing its prominence in the online gaming scene, this will allow virtually anyone with a computer to play matches of their games.
