Tripwire Interactive has announced the winners in Wave 1 of the Killing Floor Grindhouse Custom Map Making Competition. With over fifty entries for the contest, Tripware have stated that they had been impressed with the quality of many of the submissions.
The major additions include the AK-47 assault rifle, which beefs-up the Commando Perk through heavier hitting power in semi and full automatic fire modes, The Katana which operates as melee weapon that combines speed, reach and cutting power, and a brand new map: KF-Foundry. This map is set in a Horzine manufacturing facility, tucked away in an old steel foundry. Multiple levels, strange machinery and molten metal all serve to create an eerie and frantic location to fight off the specimen hordes.
Tripwire Interactive has updated it's survival FPS Killing Floor with the release of the Heavy Metal Content Pack, a free add-on to the game that brings the new map KF-Foundry along with the AK-47 and Katana weapons to the shooter.
