PC News from N4G | Halo 2
PC - Halo 2 - Children run wild on the Net: Teach them manners How many times have we badly beaten some kids in a friendly game of Halo 2 only to hear a string of profanities, racial epithets and the like either during or after the game? It seems that some of our fellow gamers cannot communicate without swearing, name-calling and trash talking. Now, I know what you are thinking, "What's wrong with a little swearing or trash talking after a particularly intense engagement in online multiplayer mayhem?" I agree I've been tempted to utter an expletive after getting killed by the same opponent several times in a row, or perhaps crouch down on the face of said opponent after returning the favor, however these should be the exception rather than the rule. PC News | Halo 2
Last month at E3, Halo developer Bungie dropped off a cargo container full of unanswered questions surrounding the franchise, but only gave us a styrofoam cup worth of explanations. This week in their update, Bungie maintained that Master Chief's return to the PC will remain a Vista-only experience, but won't take advantage of the cross-platform matchmaking that Vista's Live Anywhere service could offer. Frank "Frankie" O'Connor of Bungie explained that "the gulf - more than two years - ...

Wednesday 31 May 2006 The PC version of Halo 2 will not be playable on Microsoft's Live Anywhere, the new Xbox Live system which will allow gamers to compete against each other whether they're playing on Windows Vista or Xbox 360. As the PC version of Halo 2 is only being released for Microsoft's new operating system Windows Vista, it was widely believed that this would mean it would make use of Live Anywhere, allowing PC gamers to take on Xbox opponents.
