Namco Bandai Games have today announced an exciting line-up of titles to be exhibited over three stands at the MCM Expo in Docklands Excel Arena over the weekend of the 24th-25th October. Amongst them will be the eagerly anticipated Massively Multi-player Online (MMO) game, Star Trek Online with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and Ghostbusters: The Video Game along with a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest winning streak on the imminent Tekken 6, set to launch on Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 on October 30th.» Read More

This mid-year update allows Plastic Wax to reveal 2009 collaborations that had been kept under wraps for months: the opening cinematic and unlockable cinematic for Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game, two different thirty-second television spots that mix live action and CG (which involved animating the classic Slimer character) for Atari's Ghostbusters, and the E3 2009 CG trailer to launch the new Relic/THQ title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Atari's highly anticipated Ghostbusters: The Video game has just shipped across North America. This means that come Thursday it should be sitting on most game retailer's store shelves for our consumption.
Ghostbusters: The Video Game was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis of the original movies and comes 25 years after the release of the first Ghostbusters film and is said to take place after the events of Ghostbusters 2 with Manhattan being overrun. So who you gonna call?

Spook Central wrote: "On Friday I'll post a little bit of information on the DRM found on the PC version (yes, it has DRM), and some random information on what I found on the PC disc and what the PC's readme file tells you that you need to know before buying that version. It's rather crummy that Atari is forcing the DRM on us PC gamers, while also giving us the stripped down version - no online multiplayer co-op (or any online activities at all!) and no downloadable content for the PC version - while PS3 and Xbox gets it all! Following the snatch of European publishing rights by Sony, European copies of the game on none-Sony formats have consequently been delayed into an unknown release period. The PS3 and PS2 versions of the game are due to arrive on the 19th June. Retail sources are now suggesting the game has a date on other formats including Xbox 360, Wii and PC, which will be 30th October. Quite a long wait indeed.» Read More
