PC - Call Of Duty: World at War - Call of Duty: World at War Box Art GameXtract writes "Activision has recently released the box art of the next Call of Duty game, World at War. Like all others in the past the box art shows off various soldiers shooting aimlessly in every direction, and screaming their lungs out. I wonder how long it will take before half of them realize their shooting in the wrong direction. Regardless you can get a full size look at the box art by click the above image. Also to note that this game will be following in the same foot steps as Modern Warfare, and will receive the all mighty M rating."

Get a full look at the box art after the jump.

PC - Call Of Duty: World at War - Activision Says 'Call of Duty' PS3 Beta Details 'Coming Soon' If you took today's news at its word, PlayStation 3 owners were being left out of the "Call of Duty: World at War" multiplayer beta.

PC News from N4G | Call Of Duty: World at War
PC - Call Of Duty: World at War - Michael Phelps Didn't Really Get New 'Call Of Duty' Early MTV's Stephen Totilo writes:

"Viewers of CBS' Early Show yesterday were treated to a sight arguably more extraordinary than swimmer Michael Phelps' procurement of eight gold medals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing.

To win eight gold medals, a man merely has to swim faster than any other man in the world. That's easy compared to what appeared to happen on the Early Show, when the producers appeared to bend the laws of space and time as they presented Phelps a copy of "Call of Duty: World At War" for the PS3 - a game that won't be released for at least another month or two, if not further into the future than that. The CBS host assured Phelps that Activision wanted Phelps to have the game first.

I asked an Activision PR rep yesterday how this happened..."

PC News from N4G | Call Of Duty: World at War
PC - Call Of Duty: World at War - Call of Duty: World at War SP Information I know that most of you will think that this is fake and such, but the guy that posted this, StrYdeR visited Treyarch about this game and they allowed him to tell this much.

"Hey gang! I'm back with another update on the latest installment in the Call of Duty series – Call of Duty: World at War. Another muzzle (so to speak) has been lifted allowing the community members that were present at the 'Community First Look' in Santa Monica to further discuss some of the things we saw/experienced.

Today I am pleased to tell you that I can discuss two more of the single player levels that we took a look at while we were at the Treyarch Studios.

The first one I am going to discuss has been referred to during development as 'PBY' – probably largely due to the fact that most of the mission surrounds you in a PBY Catalina. The PBY Catalina was an American flying boat of the 1930s and 1940s. It could be equipped with depth charges, bombs, torpedoes, and .50 caliber Browning machineguns and was one of the most widely used multi-role aircraft of World War II. PBYs served with every branch of the US military and in the air forces and navies of many other nations. In World War II, PBYs were used as anti-submarine warfare aircraft, patrol bombers, convoy escorts, search and rescue aircraft, and transports."
