PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Activison and partner in crime Infinity Ward have stealthed out the first video of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare's Xbox 360 multiplayer mode. It's not especially long so it doesn't give away all of the CoD4's online secrets, but we've got no idea what the prompt to take the "coward's way out" is all about. Seppuku honor kills confirmed? As for the single-player game, you'll be playing as a member of Force Recon and as an SAS operative against a bunch of naughty. Check out our preview for ...

PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Thursday 21 June 2007 If you were wondering, the new Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare footage has nothing at all to do with WWII. It takes you through a very intense minute on a modern-looking battlefield - and we do mean battlefield. It's clear that there is more than the typical "you and your squad vs the entire evil army" gameplay. Instead of just your squad pushing the battle forward, there is a feeling of combat happening all around, soldiers fighting off in the distance, commands being ...

PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Infinity Ward might have left World War II behind for its latest Call of Duty game, but this doesn't mean they lost their passion for the setting, the developer has revealed. "We really like World War II. We wouldn't have worked on it for seven years if we didn't like it," the developer's president Grant Collier told us in a recent interview, before explaining that he doesn't think the World War II first-person shooter is dead. "Well, I think it's been done as much as fantasy RPGs and science ...

PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Ever-grinning Infinity Ward president Grant Collier has put on his serious face. “Folks thought it would be Vietnam or Iraq, but nobody thought it would be a fictional conflict,” he explains while revealing a snazzy T-shirt printed with a smart Call of Duty 4 logo on the front and a battle scene on the back. “Theres sensitivity about the subject matter, but we dont want people to misunderstand what were doing - its absolutely not about the war in Iraq…” Weve been ...

PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Tired of killing Nazis? It seems that insurgents have usurped the Germans as the opponent of choice in Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. Moving away from the franchise's traditional World War settings, the first trailer features a variety a scenarios ranging from the cabin of a commercial airplane to the streets of what looks like a Middle Eastern city. Publisher Activision doesn't win any points for originality with the game's subtitle and new present day setting, seeing as how competitor, ...

PC News | Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare
Are we going to see Call of Duty 4 announced this week? Well, that's what we're speculating as CoD and CoD 2 developer Infinity Ward has said it's making an announcement on... something this week. In a post on its official forums, the developer has said, "Insert boring update about some mundane "what we're doing" detail that no one actually cares about (such as new employees or kleenex testing) because they're just reading these updates for the glimpse hope that we'll slip and say something ...
