Far Cry developer unveils sci-fi shooter

Crytek has revealed its new project, Crysis, a futuristic shooter set during an alien invasion. The award winning developer and creator of the pacific island-based blast-fest Far Cry has joined forces with Electronic Arts to bring Crysis to PC.

The new title is "the next step in FPS gaming," according to Crytek. However, beyond promising a "new kind of gameplay challenge" and an "entirely new FPS experience", exact details on Crysis' revolutionary content are next to non-existent.

Crysis currently has no confirmed release date, though we'd expect to hear more about the game as we begin the long run-up to the E3 games show in Los Angeles this May. Stay close for updates.
