Nolan North is arguably the best-known actor in videogames, due in no small part to his having starred in pretty much all of them. And while he's relishing his role as the vocal and facial lead of the Assassin's Creed franchise, North has a suggestion for Ubisoft: he wants to start strapping ping-pong balls to his extremities in the name of Assassin's Creed, and he wants other voice-actors to do the same...
Galactus may not be Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s most important gift to comics when compared to Iron Man, Captain America, the X-Men, Avengers, or Fantastic Four, but he’s still a pretty big deal, and the kind of cosmic threat worthy of being a game’s final boss. Obviously playing as him in a normal match would break the game, but we still yearn to feel a fraction of his humungous power, and Capcom is finally going to give us a taste. This weekend Capcom confirmed a new playable Galactus mode is in Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 along with Galactus-centric, post-launch free DLC...
Though Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3’s roster additions were leaked as soon as the game was announced, it’s still cool to see the new characters in action, especially when it’s the star of a puzzle-based, lawyer game. Since we first found out Phoenix Wright was in UMVC3, we excitedly speculated just how a character known for talking and presenting evidence could beat up the Hulk. With today’s first videos of Ace Attorney gameplay (plus footage of Marvel’s top space knight, Nova), the mystery is revealed. TAKE THAT!
Competitive-gaming personality Maximilian is known detailed videos covering fighters, like Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom. For his latest series of “Assist Me!” videos, Capcom has given the online warrior its blessing to play the pants off the upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The first clip gets technical with Strider and Hawkeye. But if nerdcore comedy skits aren't your jam, skip forward three minutes to get to the good stuff...
Capcom has unloaded a wealth of new screenshots, videos and character art for Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3. The new media from TGS 2011 offers a closer look at the crossover fighting action in store for all platforms, including the recently announced PS Vita version that has been confirmed as a launch title for Sony's new handheld...
The hero of Unearthed has a problem. It's not just that he's in a rough-looking Saudi Arabian Uncharted rip-off and currently has very bandy legs in his unfortunate pre-alpha state. No, it's that he has the mother of all puzzles facing him down, and if he doesn't think fast - like, Einstein sliding down a greased-up lightning bolt in a zero-air-resistance environment fast - he's going to die! Probably. Maybe. To be fair, we're not really sure what will happen if he doesn't solve the puzzle, actually. But whatever. He needs to do it.
He has a fountain. That fountain is missing four bits of piping. Those four bits of piping need to be reinstalled in order to make the fountain work. But where could they be!?
The official X-Com reboot isn't quite here, but UFO Online: Fight for Earth, a browser based take on the classic X-com concept may be the next best thing. All the tropes of the old game are there, including developing your squad, upgrading your base, going out on missions, turn-based combat, and of course, aliens…
How's your graphics card these days? Strong like bull? Well maybe you might want to start looking around for an affordable supply of digital steroids just in case. Epic Games showed off some real-time footage of their next set of upgrades to their Unreal Engine 3 at GDC, showcasing a whole bunch of rig-bursting new features.
The demo was apparently intended as a prompt to hardware manufacturers to get their kit ready for the incandescent pixel-joy Epic is preparing to unleash in the future. How much is that future going to cost? Possibly a fair chunk, but don't worry about that. Just ogle the prettiness for now.
For two years now we’ve thrown health, sleep and sobriety to the wind in order to bring you GamesRadar’s 24 Hour Marathon! If you’ve missed out on the shenanigans thus far, the point of this video is to make you feel horrible about it. With the exception of StarCraft II, I sacrificed my hard drive to record everyone playing everything with me! Watch dozens of readers intentionally doing the stupidest shit imaginable in Halo 3, Red Dead Redemption, Gears of War 2, BioShock 2, Left 4 Dead 2, Blur, Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Modern Warfare 2, Super Street Fighter IV, Uncharted 2. Of all the crap I've done here, this video is the thing I'm most proud of...
Unreal Engine 3 has probably lived beneath a majority of the games you've played since 2006 - it's been the framework for well over 100 major titles, including Batman: Arkham Asylum, Mass Effect, BioShock, and, of course, Epic's own creations. That's why it's a big deal that Epic plans to unveil the next version of the engine at GDC next week...
