It appears digital piracy is to blame for I Am Alive's all-but-confirmed PC snub. Reflecting on the future of Ubisoft Shanghai's urban disaster game, creative director Stanislas Mettra told IncGamers the upcoming title will likely appear for download on XBLA and PSN, but skip a PC version altogether for fear of losing money on illegal downloads...

If you're running a densely-packed gaming database like Hardcore Gaming 101 and putting together your first hard-copy, made-of-paper book for the public, you'll probably want to start with something small: “Metro City Limits: More Final Fight Clones Than You Require,” or “Remember Irem?” or some such. Or, hell, you could just start out with a guide to most every old-school graphic adventure ever made, presumably launching Hardcore Reading About Gaming 101 in the process.

Kurt Kalata's Guide to Classic Graphic Adventures bills itself...

So I made a couple of jokes at the expense of the new Sonic trailer this week and I started to feel bad about it. For one, presuming the trailer’s for an actual game (rumored to be called “Sonic Generations”) then it’s a noble effort by Sega to address ridiculous fan outcry so there's no sense in stirring up the trolls.

More importantly, Sonic just so happens to star in one of the FINEST GAME CINEMAS EVER MADE! Of course I’m referring to the Sonic Adventure Intro, which I struggled to recreate using spankin' new footage from Infamous 2, L.A. Noire, Duke Nukem Forever, Red Faction: Armageddon, and tons of others. See all the trailers showcased in their entirety after the jump...

Publisher Sega just delivered the first scant details on MadWorld, Infinite Line, an unnamed game, and Bayonetta, the first four projects from new developer Platinum Games Inc. 30 Nov, 2007 With the exception of The Elder Scrolls, Eternal Sonata and Blue Dragon, it would be fair to say that the Xbox 360 is, at least for now, lacking in the hard-core RPG department. And with Final Fantasy set to hit the PS3 next year Microsoft needs to find a title that will entice RPG fans the world over. And they have. But not just one, in fact there are over 10 RPG's set to hit the 360 next year, and we're expecting more than a few of these to be life consuming epics. Over the
