Friday 1 September 2006 The expansion pack for phenomenal PC shooter FEAR continues to blast its way towards a late-2006 release and the latest screens show that its new developer hasn't strayed far from the magic formula of constant destruction. Like aversion therapy for a phobia of tidy urban environments, you can expect to do almost as much damage to the scenery as your enemies - as you can see by checking the images tab

Monday 16 October 2006 A new trailer for Extraction Point, the upcoming expansion pack for PC shock-and-gore shooter FEAR, has been released - hit the movies tab above for a dose of high-velocity bamfing. Sadly it doesn't show off too much of the game, preferring to spend half its running time congratulating itself for the original FEAR being so good - but when it does kick in with some furious gunfights, wall-climbing freaks and near-invisible poltergeists, all is forgiven. It also misses a

The paranormal first-person action thriller F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) returns to battle with an expansion pack, titled Extraction Point, that is set to ship this fall. Thrilling close-quarters combat and ethereal action will get a recharge when the First Encounter Assault Recon team returns to battle Alma (the creepy chick from the original) and her freaky crew across a destroyed city. In addition to the expanded single-player content, multiplayer aficionados get a free patch

It's been nearly a year since talk of a sequel to Monolith's FPS F.E.A.R., but today it's been reaffirmed that a follow-up to the horror-shooter is planned. In a press release from Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announcing that Monolith CEO Samantha Ryan has also now assumed the role of Senior Vice President, Development & Production at WBIE, it's mentioned that the company's "current production slate" includes "the sequel to F.E.A.R." Developer Monolith is owned by Warner

Probably one of the better shooters of the last few years, Monolith's F.E.A.R. is now in the middle of a company bust-up. Vivendi own the rights to the F.E.A.R. name, while developer Monolith is plowing on with a sequel anyway under a new alias. The name of the Monolith sequel is still up in the air and the company, along with new publisher Warner Bros. has opened nameyourfear.com to help gather fans' title suggestions for its scary shooter follow-up. To help your creative cogs turn, Monolith

It's been almost a week since Canadian developer Silicon Knights reported significant layoffs at its Ontario-based studio, and now it appears WB Games will soon be following suit in Seattle. Over the weekend, the publisher confirmed it is cutting staff across its three owned studios, which include Surreal Software (The Suffering), Monolith Productions (F.E.A.R, Gotham City Imposters), and Snowblind Studios (Lord of the Rings: War in the North)...

Not content with having a the ace-looking F1 2011 heading to 360, PS3PC3DS and PS Vita, Codemasters wants you to have more F1. But don't think it's another assault on your poor wallet - it's going to be free-to-play. Sure, you'll probably end up spending just as much on microtransactions for your brand new F1 team (we've got bagsies on Fick Shake Racing), but still, this looks premium and it's going to be free. Sweet.
