With just hours to go until this year's E3 games show officially opens for business in Los Angeles, GamesRadar has managed to obtain an exclusive sneak preview of the show floor. As you can see from these photos, many of the stands are still under construction - including those for PlayStation 3 and Wii, both of which will be playable on the show floor.

So, that was E3 2006. The most manic week of the gaming calendar has hurtled by once again in a tornado of news and a frenzy of game playing. Now, as relative calm returns and the chaos slowly seeps away, we look back on the big games, the big announcements, the highlights and the disappointments.
Much of the week's hottest news happened before the doors had opened on E3, with Sony, Nintendo and Microsoft all making some big announcements at their pre-show

The first early-doors details of Earth No More - a PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game being jointly developed by new studio Recoil Games and Duke Nukem creator, 3D Realms - have appeared on the internet, revealing some plot and gameplay info.
Earth No More's story revolves around the appearance of a mysterious spore, which has a destructive impact on the environment and causes plants and animals to mutate. Exactly how players will combat this troublesome germ isn't entirely clear, although building a
3D Realms has revealed a little more on Earth No More, the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 game in development at Recoil Games that we had first details on yesterday.
New information comes via quotes lifted from an article in Game Informer magazine. The words have been plastered onto 3DR's website.
The details in the quotes are teasing, but they provide some insight into the game's direction and influences and additionally explain that many of the weapons in the shooter are being designed with

A recent rumor got Earthworm Jim fans incredibly excited, as series creator Doug TenNapel allegedly confirmed the existence of Earthworm Jim 4, a new Wii game starring the world's greatest superpowered invertebrate. Unfortunately, TenNapel has today confirmed with yours truly that Earthworm Jim 4 is not in development and nothing about the rumors are true. However, he did shed some light on what it would take to create a new EWJ game, and the many problems such a title would face.

Gaming is an up and down experience. Some years cram top quality titles into our every orifice until were bursting with videogame joy and have excess polygons dripping messily out of our ears, while some other years… Well, some other years are 1983.
In 2007 though, weve had a very good year indeed. A scarily good year in fact. One which has provided us so much brilliance on every format that its a genuine worry that the laws of karmic balance will soon bring us a plague
