Details surrounding Deus Ex: Human Revolution's first DLC upgrade have been uncovered following a week of internet sleuthing and cryptic developer tweets. Bypassing Square Enix's online puzzle altogether, one fan appears to have plucked a full synopsis for a new downloadable chapter entitled The Missing Link straight from the official Deus Ex website RSS feed, revealing a deleted scene from Adam Jensen's main story...

These days everyone wants something for nothing. So by offering a 100% legal and absolutely not likely to see you going to prison for stealing a bag of rice from your local Co-op way of getting free stuff, we're basically operating as a public service.

We've teamed up with GamesMaster, Golden Joysticks and Alienware (yay, official awards sponsor!) to offer a prize that will avert the need for looting and pillaging Curry’s in the run up to Ch****mas. Keep reading for the full list of desirable items.

At one point in our demo of Guild Wars 2 we shot a ridiculously large screen-filling dragon with a mega-laser. What’s more, this wasn’t even a raid boss, but rather a completely random encounter. The dragon was the size of a small MMO town, and not only were dozens of players fighting the enormous wyrm, but there was another set of people defending turrets and the aforementioned mega-laser against the zombies that it was spawning...

Eidos Montreal is poised to become one of the largest studios in Canada, pending a grant from the Quebec government that will give the Square Enix company the cash it requires to double its size by 2015...

Whether or not you're down with Serious Sam 3: BFE's old school FPS vibe, it's hard not to crack a smile at its tongue-in-cheek marketing campaign. Case in point: Croteam's latest (fake) help line ad which takes a few chuckle worthy jabs at its Gears of Modern Battlefield: Human Effect 3 competition...

Now there are trailers for pre-order add-on packs for games that aren't out yet. Dice released a new Physical Warfare Pack gameplay trailer that features the items you'll receive at launch if you pre-order Battlefield 3 through GameStop or EA's digital storefront, Origin. Keep in mind that depending on where you pre-order, you'll be awarded different bonuses [link = warfare]. Also keep in mind that there may come a time when the number of promotions for add-ons and small game features spirals out of control and destroys us all — but the trailer is pretty cool, enjoy...

Sledgehammer Games, an indie-style satellite studio founded in 2009 under Activision, has officially canceled the third-person Call of Duty that was put on hold in June of this year. The studio decided to shift their talents away from the unnamed CoD when it became apparent that Modern Warfare 3 would need additional help, which Sledgehammer was more than happy to provide...

Sony has announced the launch date for the first item of DLC for DC Universe Online. September 6's “Fight for the Light” pack will add Green Lantern characters and scenarios to the game, which might seem a bit late as the Green Lantern movie came out months ago – but then nobody actually saw it, whereas fans of the Green Lantern comics are as devoted as ever, so everything's probably fine. The DLC adds Light to the available power sets – and if you know what that means, you're probably already playing the game, which means you won't pay a cent for the pack...

BANG! BANG! Brrrapp! B-B-Bang! Wooosh! Fizz! Pop! BAM! BLARRGH! Yep, it's Call of Duty multiplayer trailer time again, folks. Except this one is a bit special. This one, you see, has aspirations of narrative. Epic narrative. With epic set-pieces. And stirring music, and everything. Does it succeed? Well actually, it's the perfect trailer for Modern Warfare multiplayer in a whole lot of ways. Not necessarily always in the ways that it maybe hopes but, well, click on and I'll break it down.

Driver: San Francisco is out today in the UK, allowing gamers across the nation to leap into the bodies of random road-users across a gorgeous, sun-drenched San Francisco. Not that you'd know that from the actual launch trailer, which makes precisely 0.1 references to it during its 80 seconds. As in, it looks like Tanner has a headache. Well, come watch the trailer, then let me tell you why you should be giving this game a chance.
