505 Games has announced a sequel to 2005's critically acclaimed WWII long-range shooter, Sniper Elite. Arriving next year, Sniper Elite V2 (Electric Boogaloo?) will be handled by the series' original studio, Rebellion Developments, and add a modern slant to its third person tactical shooter formula...
Remember when every FPS was set in world War II for longer than World War II actually lasted, and we all got sick to death of them? Before you know it you’ll have finished answering the Call of Duty and cleaned the last foes off the Battlefield this holiday season. But after you’ve beaten both of the campaigns and gotten your fill of multiplayer, there will be other military-themed action games arriving on store shelves, just in time to take your mind off of the crippling depressing that sets in once you've finished off the last of your holiday releases. Both Combat Wings: The Great Battles of World War II and Sniper: Ghost Warrior 2 are due out in the first quarter of 2012, and their publisher, City Interactive, has finally given them firm dates....
So I made a couple of jokes at the expense of the new Sonic trailer this week and I started to feel bad about it. For one, presuming the trailer’s for an actual game (rumored to be called “Sonic Generations”) then it’s a noble effort by Sega to address ridiculous fan outcry so there's no sense in stirring up the trolls.
More importantly, Sonic just so happens to star in one of the FINEST GAME CINEMAS EVER MADE! Of course I’m referring to the Sonic Adventure Intro, which I struggled to recreate using spankin' new footage from Infamous 2, L.A.
