  • We all knew there was going to be another Assassin's Creed game coming this year – we've been seeing teases of it for the past few days, if nothing else – but today, publisher Ubisoft finally let us in on its plans. Set to release this November on PS3, 360 and PC, Assassin’s Creed Revelations once again focuses on Ezio Auditore, this time as he travels to Constantinople (now Istanbul) to follow in the footsteps of his ancestor, Altair – and, of course, to kill a lot of Templars...

  • Ubisoft is rewarding early adopters of Assassin's Creed: Revelations for PS3 with a bonus copy of the very first game in the AC series. The freebie is being offered as part of an exclusive partnership with Sony, and will appear pre-loaded with “day one” versions of the upcoming sequel…

  • Assassin's Creed: Revelations' multiplayer is something of a thinking man's fragfest, but lest you think this makes it any less intense than the full-out FPS alternatives, Ubisoft has released a new video highlighting just how fierce the online competition can get...

Ezio Auditore’s proof that old dogs can learn new tricks, at least when it comes to murder. In Assassin’s Creed Revelations, the aging Italian protagonist heads to the Middle East and picks up some fresh skills from his Assassin brotherhood, as he gains the Ottoman Hookblade. Hiding in the same wrist strap as his normal knives, the curved blade works just as well for quickly exploring towns as it does for killing Templar guards. This new trailer works as a perfect introduction to the armament. Watch…

Members of the Assassin's Creed Revelations development team answer some questions regarding the game's present day story.

  • You may have defeated Templars by the thousand, swung across the rooftops of Florence, Venice and Rome, and you may think you're the ultimate assassin, but have you got what it takes to unlock the very secrets of the Animus itself? Well step forward then, because to celebrate the forthcoming release of Assassin's Creed Revelations we've teamed with publisher Ubisoft to offer our readers the ultimate Assassin's Creed prize.

It’s been a long, winding road for Assassin’s Creed’s Ezio Auditore da Firenze. Once a playboy bedding ladies all over Italy, he was violently pushed into the family business of righteous/sneaky murder. After avenging the wrongful executions of his father and brothers, Ezio’s travels had only begun, as he battled a corrupt Pope’s children while meeting historical figures like Machiavelli and da Vinci. And then there’s that whole thing about the secret of the creation of humanity. All that leads Ezio to his most recent (last?) adventure on Constantinople, as the video explains...

  • Well the cat's out of the bag now and thousands of you have been flocking to the Unlock the Animussite to try your Assassin's skills at unpicking the mysterious secrets contained therein.

But Ubisoft promise this is just a gentle opener to warm you up and over the next few weeks they'll be taxing your grey matter even further with more fiendish assassin's conundrums. But don't forget there's still time to conquer strand one and it's a marathon not a sprint after all - though there will a fresh puzzle appearing on Tuesday.

  • Ubisoft continues the “Secrets of the Ottoman Assassins” trailer series with this second installment. Having gone all Bionic Commando in the previous Hookblade trailer, this new clip previews Ezio's ability to make and deploy bombs. Dropping money to distract your foes may seem embarrassingly basic, but things get a little riskier once the bomb-crafting lab opens up...

  • Fans of Assassin's Creed and depth have a reason to rejoice today. Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin's Creed: Revelations will be playable in 3D on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC, marking the first time the series has made the jump into the third-dimension, and giving you yet another reason to bite the bullet and upgrade to a new, awesome 3D TV. Come on, it's time. Seriously. Assassin's Creed in 3D. Yeah...
