Wind your way through Central American drug cartels as an undercover DEA agent to bring down the Narcomafia in the upcoming third-person stealth/action shooter, El Matador.
You are El Matador - think Max Payne without the smirk - and it's up to you to thwart a huge new drug empire that threatens the US. You'll have an unprecedented arsenal at your disposal in which to propel you through the lush jungles of Colombia and the Reagan Era plot. Like Max Payne and the more recent F.E.A.R., El
The annual QuakeCon gaming festival rolls on this weekend, and it's brought with it a handful of fresh screens of one of the year's most anticipated multiplayer shooters. Granted, it's only three screens, but they're three screens that show the game's cinematic nature - smooth fog of war, rolling hills full of detail, and of course, murderous alien commandos.
As we're going to have to wait till 2007 for the release of Enemy Territory, we'll just have to make do, for now, with pawing over the incredible-looking screenshots of the future face of multiplayer shooters.
Enemy Territory will allow gamers to align with human forces or the invading Strogg army in an all-out online war that, with its variety of vehicles and different soldier classes, has many similarities with class-based shooter Battlefield 2.
What the developer is working hard on is
Enemy Territory: Quake Wars is not expected to be released until 2007, according to developer Splash Damage, which is keen to have more time to work on the eagerly anticipated, online team shooter.
Even though the game had yet to receive an official release date it was widely expected to be released at the end of 2006. This seems less likely after Splash Damage revealed in an online developer's diary that "to ensure the quality we want, we've decided to push the release out of 2006 to allow
Make the most of your vampirism by taking over the notorious Vile Lair, once home to Greywyn Blenwyth - the infamous vampire leader of the Crimson Scars. The doors to the Vile Lair will open Thursday, adding-on a new homestead to the role-playing marathon, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.
Your new refuge will be a multilevel underwater sanctuary, where you can satisfy your thirst for blood in its "cattle pen", or cure your dark gift at the Shrine of Sithis. Alchemists and assassins will delight at

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion developer Bethesda is today releasing a new PC and Xbox 360 plug-in for its hugely successful RPG called The Vile Lair.
The new content is actually a "multi-level lair for murderous players to find refuge". In this underwater hideout players can hire minions, lay low for a bit or feed, if they happen to suffer from vampirism.
Other features include the Shrine of Sithis were players can get healed and an indoor garden of venomous plants
Players still caught in the iron grip of EverQuest will rejoice at today's announcement of a fresh expansion that not only raises the level cap, but introduces the Drakkin - an entirely new player race.
A new race is something that hasn't been seen in EverQuest for over three years. In a last desperate measure to save their dying race, dragons bred with humans to protect their future, and created the Drakkin. These half-breeds mature extremely quickly and match the appearance of the dragons
Everything old is new again. Today, Sony is dusting off the original adventure of massively multiplayer EverQuest and enabling its players to conquer all of the original content in rapid-fire succession starting with the earliest part of the game. Sony is introducing two brand-new "Progression servers" called The Combine and The Sleeper - special worlds that will let players unlock every expansion from 1999's Ruins of Kunark up through this year's Prophecy of

A clued-up computing student has created a modification for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion that enables two-player jaunts into the gigantic world of Cyrodiil. Unbelievable? Just head over to the mod's official site and you can download a video showing it in action.
Right now, the mod is very basic. You and a friend can wander around together, with the other player represented by a non-player character (like the folk you see wandering around the cities). Eventually the

This fresh image of Enemy Territory: Quake Wars reveals a cramped new city location for the objective-based team-play shooter called Ghost Town, and it's dramatically different to the wide open terrain we've fought over before.
You'll have to take extra care while bombing through these wreckage-strewn streets on a super-powered quad bike, and the abundance of hard cover will make for some hard-fought shoot outs. Take a look below for our personal points of
