Mirror's Edge - first in-game screens

A first proper glimpse of Digital Illusions' game that's redefining first-person action games

Jan 11, 2008

We've heard hardly a squeak from Digital Illusions' Mirror's Edge since it was announced last summer, but first in-game screenshots have finally surfaced.

You can check out the new screens here.

Digital Illusions, best known for the Battlefield series, is making the grand promise that Mirror's Edge will redefine the way players move in a first-person game. Essentially, it's FPS combined with free running.

"We want to change the way that players are able to move in first person," senior producer Owen O'Brien has said.

"No more restrictions, no more being blocked by simple barriers such as walls and fences. We want to enable the player to move like a real person, with the ability to run, jump, vault and slide in a way that has never been seen before in a first person game."
