EA has just sent out invites for a Mirror's Edge Remix Album Preview and Video Wrap Party that's taking place in LA next Monday evening. Next to getting another chance to go hands-on with the game itself, attendees will be able to see Lisa Miskovsky perform the game's haunting theme song, titled "Still Alive", and hear the song in its many remixed forms. AusGamers have posted a eleven-minute video interview with Senior Producer Owen O'Brien. The Q&A took place at Tokyo Game Show 2008. Along with discussions about gameplay, cutscenes and such O'Brien also revealed that Mirror's Edge is a trilogy, and that the first two games will focus on Faith. There are already plans for the sequel and DICE is thinking about including a level editor in Mirror's Edge 2.» Read More

The Eurogamer Expo and gamesindustry.biz games fair has started selling tickets this week. You can buy a ticket for £5, which is donated to GamesAid, and gives you access to both events.
Games such as Fallout 3, Far Cry 2, LittleBigPlanet, Mirrors Edge, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Prince of Persia, Resistance 2, Tomb Raider: Underworld, Street Fighter IV and many more (with some still unannounced!) will all be playable.
The expo is part of the London Games Festival 2008 and will run from the 28th-29th October.

There has been some confusion in regards to the demo of Mirror's Edge. Some publications have misinterpreted the release and announced that the demo was due out September 26. However, EA has just confirmed with us that "The demo will be out prior to launch (no official date yet) and the pre-order begins Sept 26".

Videogamer writes: "DICE has today announced that its highly anticipated first-person action title, Mirror's Edge, is to ship for Xbox 360 and PS3 on November 14 across Europe.
As had been previously rumoured, the PC version will not make the November date and will arrive in stores later in the winter."

EA has announced that the much-hyped free-running FPS Mirror's Edge will launch on November 11th on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, with the PC version shipping "later in the winter". That of course means that it might not make 2008. Sad times for PC gamers.
The publisher also confirmed that a demo would be available prior to release on Xbox Live and PlayStation Network, allowing gamers to trial a segment of the single player mode. Starting September 26th, gamers who pre-order the game at selected retailers will also get an exclusive code that unlocks a Time Trial mode in the demo.

One of the German's site called Heise online have said on the last past from this archive* about Sony's Conference in GC08.
"Laut Reeves werde Mirrors Edge zunächst exklusiv für die PS3 in diesem Jahr erscheinen. Die PC- und Xbox-360-Versionen würden deutlich später folgen."
In translated:
"According to Reeves, Mirrors Edge will be a timed exclusive on PS3... PC and 360 will follow much later!"

"What first struck me about the game was just how pretty it is. Mirror's Edge using the Unreal Engine but it does so to create something so unfamiliar, a first-person perspective in a bright, crisp world. Matching the simple aesthetic, the games controls are very straight forward. Granted I only had a chance to run and interact with the environment, so I'm not sure how combat will hold up."
