Steampowered.com is selling Mafia II for 75% off, for their Midweek Madness sale. This makes the regular edition $7.50, and the Digital Deluxe Edition $10.00. Alas, the various DLC packs are not marked down at all. Steam is also selling the indie car combat game Crasher for 66% off which makes it $5.10.

2K Czech may be getting ready to begin development on a third Mafia game, if a recent job listing is anything to go by.
Families who have lost loved ones to the Mafia are fighting against Mafia II, One of those people, Sonia Alfano, lost her father to the mob on January 18, 1993. She has come out against the video game Mafia II, saying that it trivializes the violence and murder committed by organized crime. Alfano's words carry a lot of weight because she is a member of the European Parliament. She is fighting to get the game banned in Europe. She is also the president of Italys association for the families of Mafia victims. It really, really hurts, Alfano, recently said in an interview. We cant allow this to happen, our wounds are still too fresh.
2K Games has dated the latest bit of downloadable content for its period gangster sequel Mafia II. The previously announced Joes Adventures will be available for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on November 23 for $9.99/800 Microsoft Points. -g4tv.com
