Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

Giant bugs versus giant robots. What's not to like?

Lost Planet was a technical achievement on 360, and the visuals still hold up on the usually more powerful PC. Everything's a bit sharper of course, and there are more weather effects in certain areas (snow drifts blasting through a tunnel, for example), but shot-for-shot this is the same game console players had in January - a fantastic, hard as hell shooter that'll knock your eyes out of your head. But with no new content at all and a lack of the ultra-cool bonus multiplayer maps, we've got to dock it a bit.

You'll love
  • Ball-busting action
  • Intense multiplayer
  • Improved aiming
You'll hate
  • Late with nothing new
  • Cheap boss fights
  • Missing key maps
