Lost Planet: Extreme Condition

Lost Planet coming to PC in June

First screens of Lost Planet's super high-res PC port

Last night Capcom unveiled Lost Planet's soon-to-be released PC version, and running at 2560 X 1600 on DirectX 10 it makes the 360 version look like it's behind a pane of frosted glass. Comparison shots of energy effects revealed just how stunning the improvement in definition is. Besides the resolution, the graphics have been improved with better lighting effects and bullet physics. Rather than leaving a flat decal in their wake, projectiles now realistically pot the snow with deep holes.

The game is being ported by the same team that made the 360 version, so it's still the same old bug squashing good time. Hit the Images tab above for more screens and side by side comparisons. Capcom plans to release Lost Planet on the PC June of this year for $39.99.
