Riot, apparently not content with waiting for US holidays to release themed skins, has decided to take things one step further by releasing four new skins in celebration of the Chinese New Year...

Well, well, well, it looks like Riot decided to add another tank to League of Legends. Sort of. Volibear is listed as a "fighter, jungler, tank" because of his ability to fit into any role the team needs, as long as that role includes an angry bear steamrolling through his opponents...

Don't underestimate Riot's League of Legends – while it doesn't steal the headlines like Call of Duty or Skyrim, it's still one of the most popular videogames currently in existence. Seriously, more people play it a month than play World of Warcraft, and it has more active daily players than most console games. Last week, Riot revealed that it would be modifying the Summoner Spells in League of Legends, swapping out some of the lesser-used Spells for better ones and cutting others entirely. Not content with simply modifying part of the formula, Riot has also decided to revamp the mastery trees as well, further shuffling the game's mechanics in preparation for the multiplayer online battle arena's second season...

With Season Two fast approaching, it's prepping a number of big changes to summoner spells - the abilities that players can use in any game, regardless of their current champion. The League of Legends community is up in arms today over the events of this year’s World Cyber Games qualifiers, which wrapped up over the weekend. All over the globe teams competed to win their country’s tournament in order to be sent to Korea for the finals.

Riot Games has released a Champion Spotlight for the newest champion to enter the league: Graves, the Outlaw. The gunslinger has some moves in common with other ranged characters like Miss Fortune, but his focus on close-range fighting makes him look fairly unique among ranged champions...

League of Legends' yearly Halloween celebration makes some minor changes to the free-to-play game to get in the holiday spirit. Summoner's Rift (the game's main map) gets Halloween decorations, health and mana potions are replaced with candy, and Riot adds a number of limited edition skins to the game. This year, they've dressed up four champions for trick or treating: Haunting Nocturne, Bewitching Nidalee, "Definitely Not Blitzcrank," and FrankenTibbers Annie.
