There is little fiction as immediate or engrossing as today's reality. Joint Task Force makes smart use of the current conflicts that burn across the world in a strategy title that emphasizes actual military hardware.

JTF makers plan to fling us around the world in 20 missions that take place in hotspots that include the Middle East, Central Asia and the Balkans. Early screens of JTF look gritty and realistic to the last rivet, highlighting faithfulness to the licenses that the developers landed with military hardware manufacturers.

Announced to appear at E3 next week, we hope to kick the tires of this modern-day warfighter at the show. Joint Task Force will deploy this fall.
