Kalypso Media and Haemimont Games have announced a sequel to Imperium Romanum is in the works, with lots of updates promised. Imperium Romanum was the first top ten title of Kalypso and we are very proud to have entered a longterm agreement with Haemimont Games, said Simon Hellwig, managing director of Kalypso Media. The studio is one of the most professional developers in Europe and we are sure to further the brand by releasing the sequel next year. The sequel to the hit city-building strategy title allows the player to take the role of a Roman patrician, whose ultimate goal is to become the governor of Rome.

You can read our review of the base game here....The expansion package focuses on the former Roman colony Britannia and is a content expansion to the main game. This new campaign includes 4 exciting new scenarios, like Londinium (London), Hadrians Wall oder Aquae Sulis (Bath), whereby each map is a reconstruction of an actual historical location. Additionally, new tablets and events will bring more variety into the gameplay as well as some some re-designed buildings...

A content expansion has been announced for Imperium Romanum. It will focus on Britannia and bring four new scenarios that take place in or at Londinium, Hadrian's Wall, and (of course) Aquae Sulis. The value pack will retail for $4.99 and be released in May...
