"Huge gaming news was covered here at Blend Games for the official first week of August. Between August 2nd and August 8th we found out that a new demo for Section 8 was released, a sequel for The Conduit is very likely, Treyarch did the near-impossible by porting CoD: Modern Warfare over to the Nintendo Wii and a scuffle between Blend Games, N4G and Destructoid users occurred over the call for a ban on rape simulators (now being called "platinum" games). Torrence "Just got news today that Huxley will be shown at E3. It was one of my predictions up until today. They even had countdowns on their page that end on the first day of E3. I will have a 50min hands on with Huxley and should have my report up within the hour after playing. Big Download writes: "It's been a long, hard road for the Unreal Engine 3 based sci-fi MMOFPS Huxley. The Webzen-developed game was first announced way back in 2005. Earlier this year it was announced that NHN USA had picked up the US publishing rights to the game and planned on launching it as a free-to-play MMO on their web site ijji.com before the end of the year.
Unfortunately it looks like that's not going to happen after all. We have learned that Huxley's launch has been pushed back for the US market until the first half of 2009. We spoke on the phone with NHN USA's PR rep who said that the development team wanted more time to handle the game's localization issues. Huxley has been in open beta in Korea for the past few months."

Huxley is an MMOFPS utilizing the Unreal Engine 3 that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world. Human beings have mutated and are divided into two opposing races, Sapiens and Alternative, who are forced to battle against one another to gain control of the world and its resources.
The second stage of testing for the massively multiplayer online first-person shooting (MMOFPS) game will take place from Dec. 13-17, 2007, in Korea. Registration for new local testers will begin in November, though gamers who took part in the first CBT will be able to participate as well.

1UP is reporting that Huxley closed beta has opened for 999 lucky Koreans. The short beta period lasts only five days, but in that time those selected will be able to try the team death match and radar domination modes, along with more of the core structure of the MMO aspects, such as quest mode.
To speed along the process of testing, players are being started at level 19 so they can use more advanced weapons, defense capabilities, and skill sets.
