Explore what has become of City 7 in areas like Dundas square, Eaton Center , Mel Lastman square, St. Michael's Hospital and TTC system under the Combine rule. This version features Gordon Freeman as the main character, stuck in Toronto due to a teleporting accident in Kleiner's lab. Try to escape this war torn city by finding any type of teleporting technology and send him back to City 17.

The NPD Group has released the latest list of the top 10 best selling PC games in the US, this time for the week ending November 3. It seems that despite bad reviews, Flagship Studios have done something right, as people buy Hellgate: London despite many reviewers' opinion that it needed a few more months in production.

Gabe Newell has said Valve still has plenty of Half-Life to mine as the developer slowly creeps toward the grand Episode Three finale, which it's expected will conclude the story arc established in the original game.

Valve Software is giving away free games to owners of ATI Radeon graphics cards.
Half-Life 2: Lost Coast and Half-Life 2: Deathmatch are being offered through Steam, which will confirm the presence of ATI Radeon hardware in your PC "and then enable immediate access to full versions of the games free of charge," the developer has said.

If your new to the Steam platform, it's just a small client file you download and will enable you to purchase all valve games, including HL2 at this great price.

SEGA announced today that Gearbox Software will develop the first-person shooter title based on the Alien film franchise for the next-generation systems. A press release from SEGA says that "Gearbox Software's FPS Alien title will retain the atmospheric look and feel of the original films while leveraging next-generation technology to create an entirely new interactive Alien experience."
Gearbox Software is the creator of Brothers in Arms and they have also ported Halo to Windows and Half-Life 2 to Xbox.

New details emerging from Valve's puzzle venture Portal have revealed that that the game's storyline is set in the Half-Life 2 world.
According to a report on 1up, the team beavering away on Portal are in cahoots with Half-Life plot scribe Marc Laidlaw to ensure it the storyline not only slots into the overall HL story arc but also develops the universe where possible.
A new, key female character - presumably the origin of the disembodied voice heard in the Portal trailers - is to be introduced too, level designer Kim Swift explaining that "The origins of this character will be clear... eventually". Discussing Portal in broader terms, Swift also cryptically said that, "Kind of like the rest of the Half-Life games, as you play through it, it should give you some answers as to who you are, but at the same time it raises more questions".

Valve Software has revealed it's now aiming for a Q1 2007 release for Half-Life 2: Episode Two, so sadly it will miss the originally expected late 2006 launch.
According to a report on EuroGamer, the developer's Doug Lombardi has said that February 2007 is most likely for Episode Two's debut. "You know, our thing is always that we're trying to make really good experiences and so we're going to manage to that rather than the schedule", Lombardi explained when speaking about the delay at the on-going Games Convention in Leipzig.
Half-Life 2: Episode Two will release with Team Fortress 2 and Valve's mind-bending puzzle venture Portal. PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of Half-Life 2 - which include Episode One, Two and TF2 and Portal - are expected to materialise at the same time as Episode Two on PC.
