HL2 Episode Two delayed

[PC] Valve pushes new instalment further into 2007

Friday 10 November 2006
Half-Life 2: Episode Two, the latest episodic outing for the sci-fi series, has hit another launch delay, this time slipping to a summer 2007 release, developer and publisher Valve has confirmed today.

Valve is "now targeting summer 2007" for the launch of HL2: Episode Two, marketing manager Doug Lombardi told game site CVG.

Originally hoping to release the game this Christmas, before then delaying it until around February, Valve has not offered a reason for the game's latest shift-back, but it's more than likely that the developer is simply determined to ensure the title is as strong as humanly possible. Although, that comforting thought won't make the long wait any easier. Sigh.
