DSOGaming writes: "Juergen Vierheilig released the latest version of his Cinematic Mod for Half-Life 2. As always, some will like it while others might hate it. Still, this is an amazing overhaul for Half-Life 2 and if you havent tried it yet, wed urge you to. Cinematic 11 Mod is a graphical / music total overhaul, as it looks and sounds very different compared to vanilla HL2 and you can view some comparison shots and videos from this latest version bellow."
It's been over 13 years since Gordon Freeman first exited Black Mesa's Transit System for Sector C Test Labs, kicking off one of the worst work shifts in videogame history. In honor of that iconic opening scene, the makers of the fan-film Beyond Black Mesa have spliced together a new live action flick depicting the moments leading up to Freeman's classic tale of Combine invasions, crowbars, and headcrabs...
DSOGaming writes: "So, we all know that Valve is not willing to release Episode 3 anytime soon. Well, fear not PC gamers because modder SPY-maps decided to offer us an unofficial, alternative way of how Episode 3 would look like. Originally started as a two-maps project, Episode 3: The Closure takes of where the original episode 2 ended, although it will take from there a completely different direction, thus leaving room for the ultimate closure of the saga to the original Episode 3 if it ever gets released."

Exercising the right to peaceably to assemble, two men were spotted yesterday outside of Valve's headquarters in Bellevue, Washington, protesting the absence of Half-Life 3. It's been seven years since Half-Life 2 was released, and since then only rumors of the third game have emerged from Valve’s mysterious office space...
Yesterday we highlighted the YouTube exploits of one ambitious gamer looking to score the least. Today, I bring you a fan-film that I'm not afraid to say, will compel you to watch from beginning to end. Shot completely in the first-person perspective, Half-Life: Singularity Collapse doesn't showcase the exploits of Gordon Freeman, but rather a hapless denizen of a Combine controlled city. Things quickly escalate from bad to worse after routine searches and - well - you'll see what happens next.
Could it be? Could it really be? Yes. Yes it could. Sit yourselves down people, and regulate your breathing, because it looks like Valve's epic Portal 2 ARG might just be about to drop the motherlode.
That motherlode? Half-Life.
Yeah. Half-Life. Finally, blessedly, mercifully, after our years of frustration and faith, it looks like sweet, sweet Half-Life might be set for its next reveal. My feelings? Incandescent, explosive joy, obviously, and also a hint of smugness, because I called this one in an excitable semi-drunken tweet to Tyler Wilde the other night. If you want my (non-booze-related) reasoning for that tweet, and the evidence backing up this latest potential development, click on.
The Cinematic Mod (CM) is a Half-Life 2 modification, that adds more details and a darker look to the original Half-Life 2 series.
