VG247 writes: USA Todays revealed Ghostbusters: Sanctum of Slime, a new title in the IP from Atari.The game, made by Chilian studio Wanako, is a top-down, four-player co-op adventure title which sees the return of the rookie from Ghostbusters: The Videogame that released last year from Atari and Terminal Reality.Co-op can be played online and offline. Super massive bosses have been promised as well, which will require teamwork from your team and your arsenal.The report claims the game wont feature actors Bill Murray or Dan Ackroyd in the game unlike last years main effort, but will feature a drivable Ecto-3Itll release on PSN, Xbox Live and PC.

Namco Bandai Games have today announced an exciting line-up of titles to be exhibited over three stands at the MCM Expo in Docklands Excel Arena over the weekend of the 24th-25th October. Amongst them will be the eagerly anticipated Massively Multi-player Online (MMO) game, Star Trek Online with Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and Ghostbusters: The Video Game along with a Guinness World Record attempt for the longest winning streak on the imminent Tekken 6, set to launch on Microsoft Xbox 360 and Sony PlayStation 3 on October 30th.

Today Namco Bandai Partners has confirmed the Ghostbusters game will be released on 23 October this year and players can expect to pick up the title on the 360, PC, Wii and DS.

This mid-year update allows Plastic Wax to reveal 2009 collaborations that had been kept under wraps for months: the opening cinematic and unlockable cinematic for Activision's Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen game, two different thirty-second television spots that mix live action and CG (which involved animating the classic Slimer character) for Atari's Ghostbusters, and the E3 2009 CG trailer to launch the new Relic/THQ title Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. Plastic Wax also has a number of unannounced videogame projects in the works, as well as a feature length film.

Bigdownload: Gamers were upset when it was learned a few days ago that the PC version of Ghostbusters would lack the multiplayer features that its Xbox 360 and PS2 counterparts have. Atari's highly anticipated Ghostbusters: The Video game has just shipped across North America. This means that come Thursday it should be sitting on most game retailer's store shelves for our consumption. Ghostbusters: The Video Game was written by Dan Aykroyd and Harold Ramis of the original movies and comes 25 years after the release of the first Ghostbusters film and is said to take place after the events of Ghostbusters 2 with Manhattan being overrun. So who you gonna call?
