The massively hyped MMO game Fury has finally succumb to the pressures of a poor reception at launch and announced that it will cease to provide a gaming service. Citing the lack of profitibilty but retaining an optimism for a possible future in some shape, for the moment it is time to lay down your weapons.
As if being responsible for the abortion that is Fury wasn't enough, the Marketing people who got to keep their jobs after firing everyone else think that the email they sent out is a good idea.

Come the Age of the Chosen update on December 14, players of Auran's hack'n'slash MMO Fury will be given the option to play the game minus the monthly subscription fee.
Over the last couple of days reports have been circulating the Internet that the Brisbane, Australia-based developer Auran is laying off a significant proportion of its staff, largely ¿ it was suggested - due to financial difficulties that have arisen as a result of the recently released PVP MMO Fury performing poorly at retail. Staff were also allegedly told that further development may be outsourced to China.

According to the latest email that was sent out to the beta testers of the game Fury, Auran has acknowledged that there are play balance issues along with performance issues that need to be worked out. Auran Games have announced that this will push back the release date and that a new date will be sent out soon.
August 14, 2007 - Today Gamecock announced its first two games will both be released this October. The player-versus-player (PvP) massively-multiplayer online (MMO) game Fury will begin October 9 on PC, while the first-person survival horror game Dementium: The Ward will be let loose on the DS, appropriately, October 31.
