NaturalMotion, the animation technology company behind the Euphoria Engine, today announced that publisher THQ Inc. has licensed its Morpheme animation middleware for use on future projects, including an unannounced title by Kaos Studios. The publisher recently announced that it has also licensed NVIDIA PhysX technology, which is tightly integrated with Morpheme's character animation to produce dramatic results.» Read More

Frontlines: Fuel of War
Jolt reports: "Well, well, well. EA and DICE wasted no time in bringing out a much demanded conquest mode for the excellent Battlefield: Bad Company, which had previously only offered a Frontlines-style shifting objective game for the multiplayer. Now THQ and Kaos have responded in kind, offering a 'Conquer' mode for their own multiplayer battlefield game, Frontlines: Fuel of War.
The new mode opens up the multiplayer maps considerably, offering up objective capture in any order on existing maps, which includes the downloadable ones, too. You can't capture main bases, though, and the vehicles have also been adjusted in an attempt to make the new mode more fun.
The downloadable content has so far gone live on Xbox 360, and will be shortly integrated into patch 1.2.0 for PC."

Frontlines: Fuel Of War is currently completely broken on Steam. While Steam still allows you to purchase the game for $49.95US, the download does not include critical files required to launch the game. Valve has had the game on the store for the past few days, and is yet to fix the problem. A quick look at the Steam forum for the game shows how widespread it is. A user at the forums has come up with a manual fix to download the missing files and copy them in, however this still will not fix the single player. It is recommend to avoid purchasing the game from Steam until this issue is resolved.» Read More

Frontlines: Fuel of War
Videogamer reports THQ has confirmed that Frontlines: Fuel of War, which is released across Europe on Friday, will support multiplayer games of up to 50 players on Xbox 360 - 64 for PC gamers. This makes it the first next-generation console title to offer such a large player count in online games.
The Xbox 360 version will launch with 90 dedicated multiplayer servers across Europe and North America, with one map, Village, offering support for the full 50 players. As more dedicated servers are brought online, additional maps will be opened up for 50-player games.

THQ sent over a note announcing that an official PC multiplayer demo for their upcoming first person shooter Frontlines: Fuel of War will be released on March 11. The demo will contain an all new map, "Invasion" in addition to the final version of the "Oilfield" map. The current multiplayer beta test for the game will end on Monday at 11 pm EST.
