The idea is as simple as it is brilliant. The pick n mix playfulness of fantasy football crossed with the devilish detail of the Football Manager series. Its got such potential and obvious appeal that it almost reeks of some cynical marketing meeting: “Guys, I just want to say this: ‘FML, the MMO thats a new USP for our key IP!”

Weve just been spanked 5-0 by Sports Interactives Managing Director, Miles Jacobson. Fielding a team of Slovakian journeymen and Serie B rejects, its hardly a surprise to see the likes of Adriano and co. cut our threadbare defense to pieces like a hot chainsaw through melted butter.
