Strategy First has offered up major savings along with a huge bundle discount for the publisher's listings on Steam. Now through Monday April 13th, all Strategy First titles go for 50% off.

Discounts include FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage for $9.99, Perimeter 2 for $14.99; with Sub Command and Disciples II games going for under $10 each, and 'cult classics' like Alien Shooter 2, Ghost Master, Iron Warriors, Slam It Pinball: Big Score, Ducati Racing clocking in at a paltry $2.49 each.

Of course, if you're looking to expand upon your own personal collection, the entire Strategy First catalogue--26 games in all--has been bundled together for $74.95 marked down from $179.74 (58% off). That comes to a pleasantly low average of $2.88 per game.

Microsoft Updates GFW - Live Client (News)

With all the attention being paid to the vaunted New Xbox Experience interface that will launch later this month for the Xbox 360, Microsoft quietly updated the Games for Windows - Live client today. The update doesn't introduce any new functionality--that is planned later on with the release of a desktop client as well as the Games for Windows - Live Marketplace. However, the update does give the GFW - Live client a whole new look that's better suited for PCs...

"Virtual Programming is preparing a Macintosh version of FlatOut 2, the carnage-laden driving game originally developed by Bugbear Entertainment. Expected out in September, FlatOut 2 for Mac will cost $39.95.

If you've wanted a game that's the spiritual successor to the legendary "Carmageddon" series, FlatOut 2 may fit the bill. You get behind the wheels of cars as you take to the streets in a series of progressively more difficult races against computer-controlled foes (there's also online multiplayer support for up to eight players). You can try to take your biggest computer-controlled rivals out of the race - slamming them headfirst into a bridge, stealing the race by using a shortcut or using a nitro pack to get ahead."

Flatout Ultimate Carnage is now available for the PC in the UK for £24.99. The PC game supports the Windows LIVE system, so online interactivity is now available (including achievements).

Empire Interactive has announced that FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage will be coming to the PC some time later this year. They estimate the European release to be on August 1st 2008 and the American release to be in the first quarter of 2009.

FlatOut Ultimate Carnage Announced for PC (News)

Empire Interactive has announced that the PC version of FlatOut Ultimate Carnage developed by Bugbear Entertainment is being prepared for a June 2008 worldwide release. PC gamers can have a "deathproof" experience with Carnage gameplay modes and enhanced graphics that rival the Xbox 360 version. Multiplayer online provides wheel-to-wheel action as opponents try to fishtail other cars and get across the finish line in a "no holds barred" extreme driving smash fest.
