With all the attention being paid to the vaunted New Xbox Experience interface that will launch later this month for the Xbox 360, Microsoft quietly updated the Games for Windows - Live client today. The update doesn't introduce any new functionality--that is planned later on with the release of a desktop client as well as the Games for Windows - Live Marketplace. However, the update does give the GFW - Live client a whole new look that's better suited for PCs...

Flatout Ultimate Carnage is now available for the PC in the UK for £24.99. The PC game supports the Windows LIVE system, so online interactivity is now available (including achievements).
Empire Interactive has announced that FlatOut: Ultimate Carnage will be coming to the PC some time later this year. They estimate the European release to be on August 1st 2008 and the American release to be in the first quarter of 2009.

Empire Interactive has announced that the PC version of FlatOut Ultimate Carnage developed by Bugbear Entertainment is being prepared for a June 2008 worldwide release. PC gamers can have a "deathproof" experience with Carnage gameplay modes and enhanced graphics that rival the Xbox 360 version. Multiplayer online provides wheel-to-wheel action as opponents try to fishtail other cars and get across the finish line in a "no holds barred" extreme driving smash fest.
