It's
been almost a week since Canadian developer Silicon Knights reported significant layoffs at its Ontario-based studio, and now it appears
WB Games will soon be following suit in Seattle. Over the weekend,
the publisher confirmed it is cutting staff across its
three owned studios, which include Surreal Software (The Suffering),
Monolith Productions (F.E.A.R, Gotham City Imposters), and Snowblind
Studios (Lord of the Rings: War in the North)...
A previously unpublished video originally intended to play alongside the end credits has been released by Monolith. In his blog, Monolith developer Daryl Affleck shows off a video put together while the game was going through testing and primarily features Armacham Technology Corporation research scientist Terry 'Snake Fist' Halford.
A second downloadable content pack for Monolith's horror-shooter F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has been revealed along with an exclusive trailer.
The future of F.E.A.R. 2 as a competitive multiplayer game was dealt a massive blow when it was announced that it won't be supported by server files, anti-cheat or an SDK. Since F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin was released in February, fans have been holding out for more from the multiplayer component of the game. Questions were raised before the game hit the shelves as to whether server files would be released.
