Ubi Montreal has told VG247 that Far Cry 2's text features were based on the Professor Layton series for DS.
Gameplayer are reporting that Ubisoft just issued them with a release schedule that gives a firm window of release for the highly anticipated Far Cry sequel.
Today Ubisoft published a press release. The document contained the official system requirements of Far Cry 2. The game is scheduled for release in fall 2008.

Far Cry 2 will be at the Dreamhack festival on June 14th through the 17th in Jönköping, Sweden. Louis-Pierre Pharand and Julien Cuny will be there to present the game and to answer questions. You will be able to play and test the game.
