The Steam monster continues its rampage on our wallets as we press forward to day seven of Valve’s Summer Camp Sale event. The deals are plentiful, and with this year’s dry summer release schedule, Valve is making it hard to make digital purchases in moderation. Just look at the deals! Far Cry 2 is the pick of the bunch for Games on Demand on Xbox Live this week. The open world FPS plonks players in the middle of Africa as a gun for hire, where you'll catch malaria, jam your gun and pull bullets out of your hand with pliers. Far Cry comes to the service alongside the roundly slated Kane and Lynch: Dead Men and Shrek the Third.

Hardware Canucks: NVIDIA has been extremely tight-lipped about all things Fermi ever since the GTC but from the information we received from our moles within their Santa Clara offices, things were moving along at a quick pace. New technologies were being developed to showcase the chip's advanced capabilities, features were being toyed with, drivers were written and TSMC was pistol-whipped into shape after showing disappointing yields on early silicon. As CES rolled around, NVIDIA wanted to put most of their cards on the table and finally disclosed how they have adapted Fermi's architecture for the consumer GPU marketplace. This included selective tech demos and hardware being shown on the show floor as well as all-day Deep Dive briefings for select journalists being conducted behind the scenes. We attended one of these briefings and in this article we will finally shed some light on the technologies that will make the Fermi architecture hum along in games and other 3D apps.

Slashgamer Writes: Uwe Boll's next masterpiece, Far Cry, went straight-to-DVD. Chances are you wouldn't buy nor rent the film and seriously, can anyone blame you? However, I bet you are a tad curious, I mean Uwe's films are for the most part, atrocious - so it's kinda like looking at automobile accident pictures on the internet. No matter how horrifying the images are - you somehow convince yourself to quickly look at one. Before you know it, you checked out the whole gallery. Anyway, if you want to briefly see how bad the Far Cry film ended up being and are a Netflix subscriber, you can now stream the movie online. Obviously if you have an Xbox Live account or a PS3 Netflix disc, you can also stream the movie straight to your console.
