Extremists use Fallout 3 artwork to threaten West

Terrorists turn their Google search skills against us...

US-based extremist monitoring group SITE 'released' an image it claimed was was a computer generated pic showing Washington DC in the aftermath of a nuclear attack posted on an Islamist forum. Turns out it was just concept art from Fallout 3...

According to reports in yesterday's London Lite rag and News.com.au, extremists posted the image online in an effort to urge jihadists to use biological, chemical and nuclear weapons against the west.

Reports that they also called for the survivors to be rounded up, dipped in liquid and turned into super mutants has yet to be confirmed. They must have missed Independence Day too.

No doubt the forum poster missed the irony of using concept art from a Washington-based games developer to call for its destruction. But even looking past this, we're still not convinced they pose a threat.

Really, if the only 'terrorist' skills you can muster involve going to Google Images and typing in 'washington nuclear attack,' we're not exactly going to be flicking through our Duck and Cover leaflet any time soon.

If you're looking for more images to strike terror into the hearts of westerners, check out our Fallout 3 page here.
