PC - Fallen Empire: Legions - InstantAction browser-based games go live for Mac InstantAction.com games are now playable on the Mac (as an open beta for the moment). Mac users can sign up and play the spiritual successor to Tribes, Fallen Empire: Legions. System requirements call for Mac OS X 10.4.11 or later. InstantAction runs on Intel Macs only, and requires Safari 3 or Firefox 2. Some games require an Nvidia GeForce 7 series, Radeon x1900 series or better.

Running in-browser and free-to-play, Fallen Empire: Legions comes from the capable hands of GarageGames, a company formed from the ashes of Tribes developer Dynamix. Both Tribes games were at the forefront of online multiplayer games in the late nineties, and were received warmly upon their release. Fallen Empire: Legions offers similar fare, and the public beta comprises of Deathmatch and Capture the Flag modes, playable over two maps and six character classes.

PC - Fallen Empire: Legions - Fallen Empire: Legions Beta Details Surface Independent developer GarageGames has clarified a number of details about the beta test for Fallen Empire: Legions (PC), the Starsiege: Tribes spiritual sequel that will someday debut on the company's web-based InstantAction platform.

With the multiplayer title currently in a closed beta, the company will begin to add roughly 100 InstantAction users to the test every few days in order to increase load and feedback.

GarageGames representative Bill Linn told Shacknews that the web and team-based online shooter is being developed under a mod-like rolling release philosophy.

Coined "Live Development" by the five-man Fallen Empires team, the process will see the game continually changed and updated based on community feedback via an innovative voting system.
