7. Surf Ninjas (1993)
The film: Surfer kids Adam and Johnny find out they're really the long-lost princes of an island that's been conquered by evil cyborg Leslie Nielsen. With the help of Rob Schneider and a one-eyed ninja bodyguard, it's up to them to reclaim their thrones.
The game: Surf Ninjas for the Sega Game Gear.
The scenes: In a scenario only a shameless marketing department could devise, 11-year-old Adam finds his Shinobi cartridge magically replaced by the Surf Ninjas game, which shows him everything that's about to happen before it actually does. Yes, really.
Why it's stupid: Actually, this would be one of the most realistic representations of videogames in a movie ever if it didn't involve the game being used as some sort of weird mind-control/future-prediction device. As it is, though, Surf Ninjas strikes a rich vein of stupid, with Adam using his oversized handheld to short-circuit Nielsen's cyber-samurai armor and to force his bodyguard to fight ninjas with chopsticks, all by just playing the game.
