The Greatest Final Men

The last men on earth... are not alone

Words: Chris Antista, GamesRadar US

Will Smiff [sic] has successfully waged war with everything plaguing humans: Aliens, infected mutants, criminals, poverty and still more, Mac compatible, aliens. But in his latest popcorn opus he finds himself stacked against mankind’s fiercest adversary: loneliness. So, while he may’ve been the last man standing in I Am Legend, he’s by no means the only person to get jiggy with the depths of solitude.

In honor of I Am Legends’ release this week, we’re taking a fond look back at our favorite last hopes for civilization. And keep reading for your chance to Win a Blu-ray copy of I Am Legend.

Honorable mention: The opening scene in 28 Days Later

Perfect example... before those pesky humans showed up in droves. But in the first couple minutes Cillian "Scarecrow" Murphy walks the barren London landscape refusing to read the writing on the wall. Remember folks: If there’s no line at Starbucks on Monday morning, report to your nearest shotgun. Zombies be afoot.
